Cheap Obsession Du Jour 9.23.09

I am sure you have all heard of Essence of Beauty. I can not rave about this line of brushes enough. Not only are they dirt cheap they are fantastic. I can safely say that the large foundation brush is an absolute must have for me. In addition, the angled contour brush can rival MAC's anyday. They are animal cruelty free which is a must and they do not shed! What more can you ask for?

A little about Essence of beauty line, it is sold at every CVS drugstore and retails from about $10 -$15 for a pack of 2 brushes. The large foundation brush was $10.99. Score!!

I use the top one for foundation, the middle one for foundation around my eyes and nose and the other end for creamy concealers and the last one for contouring and highlighting.

Have any of you ever tried these?

  1. I LOVE these brushes! I have the two bottom ones and they are great! You should try the smokey wide eyeshadow brush, it's amazing as well!

  2. Love this brush tooo.
so good and easy to find in every CVS

  3. I've been looking for some brushes to buy when I go to the US soon and these look just about right!

  4. I've never seen these in the UK sadly :( Although there is a brand I've seen called QVS, I have their foundation brush which is really good and it was only £3 (no idea what that is in US dollars but that's about the price of a cheap-ish drugstore eyeshadow)

  5. I only have their concealer set which I bought in New York 2 yrs ago - and I' coming to NYC next Monday!!!!!! Woohoo! So much mu to check out but the EoB brushes are one I wanted to check out - especially the big eyeshadow flat brush duo....and that big fdn brush looks fab too.

Which drugstore and where do you think is best to check out in central NYC? (I'll be in Greenwich Village)

  6. Moodeve, There are some HUGEEE duane reades and a HUGE walgreen in times square. i would check that out.
