Obsession Du Jour: Coral Nails 6.4.10

I love Coral nails on my toes for summer, strangely though, I usually don't wear any polish in the red family on my nails unless its an orange-y red. I don't really know why! However, when I saw this color everything changed!

Anyway, Eyeko sent me a few nail polishes and this is the one that I loved and really was a stand out product for me. This is called Coral Polish, For Resort Nails and this is exactly what it is. So summery and fun. The color is BRIGHT and such a great coral, a perfect mix of orange, pink and red.

The formula is what really got me singin' its praises. It is super creamy. It only took one coat to be opaque but I used 2 for good measure. It is thick, but I like thicker formulas. I hate runny streaky polish and this is the opposite. You can not see in the picture how vibrant and shiny it is.

I have been wearing this color for a week with Seche Vite topcoat over it and it is still perfect, no chips or peeling! Major win in my book as everything ALWAYS chips on me!

I am not as familiar with the Eyeko brand as some others are because it is a UK based company, but I sure wish it was more readily available here. I picked up a few Eyeko products from Superdrug last time I was in London and I absolutely loved them. The products are very affordable, great quality and have very cute packaging!!

Let me know your thoughts on Eyeko!

  4. I have the Cult Classics edition and so far I have tried the Vintage Polish (looks like 527 from Chanel). However, the consistency was a bit too cakey as a finished result, which of course dissapointed me. Don't know whether this has something to do with the fact that I have done my nails late at night and then went to bed, but still. Will give it a go again with the Lilac, and this time in the day. xxx

  5. I use the seche vite top coat and love it for the smooth, quick dry formula. However, in about a day it starts to peel on me, not the polish but the top coat. I was wondering if that happens to you or if you use more than one coat?? Thanks!

  6. Beautiful colour, the Posh Polish from their nail polish range is my favourite - a muted, taupey, grey - it looks great on the toes!

  9. I have tried this but I love Eyeko polishes. My favourites are Posh Polish (a muddy mushroom nude) and Tea Rose (creamy pale pink. i tried the Vintage polish which is the mint green one but mine was really watery so I wasn't impressed.

I really want to try the Grafitti Eyeliners!

  12. I originally got a small blue varnish from eyeko, and was less than impressed by the formula...streaky city and very very thin.

I recently purchased 3 new colours (soon to be reviewed on my blog). I have tried 2 of them, and the formula is miles apart from the original.

Like you say - one coat is enough and it does not chip...which is unheard of for me.

Very very impressed with them, and will try this colour you had as it's not one of my picks.

  14. If you like thicker formulas, try Sally Hansen nail polishes. They're awesome and inexpensive at the drugstore.
