Lancome's New Technology Du Jour: 8.6.10

Something caught my eye today as I was reading through my WWD (women's wear daily) subscription that I wanted to share with you guys. It is a new supposedly revolutionary foundation by Lancome. I must admit, I am not usually wowed by Lancome's foundations. I have always found them to be a little too flat or a little too drying for me. However, this sounds promising.

It is called Teint Miracle and what makes this foundation new and exciting is the new technology it is supposed to be using to "re-emitted and reflected natural night with a proprietary technology", and it being called the "next generation foundation".

The "proprietary technology" they are using is something Lancome is calling Aura-Inside Technology. OOohhh, sounds so new age!! Anyway, it is said to include "pink and blue bioptic pigments and a liquid light essence". That sounds very nice but I don't think if I believe it yet, liquid light essence? Is that even possible? Well, Lancome says it is, this liquid light essence has teeny-tiny mirrors that are reported to be five times smaller than mother of pearl which gives "non stop light diffusion and transparency". This sounds very....glowy! Sign me up.

Whats most catching about this article is Lancome says that this new foundation is 40% water compared to the traditional 20%, which means its a lot lighter and looks a lot more like natural skin. This leads me to believe though that this will be on the sheerer side of foundations.

I really am looking forward to trying this as I like sheerer foundations especially anything claiming to give me a glow.

What are your thoughts on the new Teint Miracle foundation?

  3. I really want this! I am using the colour ideal foundation by Lancome and I quite like it! This will be next on my list of foundations I want!
First is Dior Skinflash, next is MAC face and body. But after that, I will be buying this to test it out!

  4. I'll try a sample. I hate investing money into expensive foundations that do me no justice. For a while now, I've been in love with MUFE foundations. MAC is coming out with a new foundation and my MA said this one is actually amazing. I hope she's right!

  5. i still miss the days of lancome's maqimat - talk about 'flat', but that was the look back in the early 90s. i haven't tried this foundation you mentioned, but i use rengergie in winter and like it a lot.

  6. Diorskin Nude is also 40% water and it's my HG liquid foundation. Really recommend that you check it out. It's light-medium coverage, looks natural and slightly dewy (very healthy!) and lasts all day. oh, and the 40% water is MINERAL water. I should be working for Dior haha xx

  8. I saw that today too. It sounds really interesting. I might have to give it a try...

But why are you so obsessed with using every opportunity you can that you have a job in the fashion industry? The whole "MY WWD SUBSCRIPTION" is really annoying. Most people know what WWD is. Every post seems to be about how amazing it is that you have a job. I like your blog but it's getting to be really irritating. Just my opinion.

  11. Are they serious?! There's no real science behind that, just a bunch of BS.

  12. Are you being compensated by lancome for this blog post?

  13. @Brooke: I prefer dewy look, I am not a fan of the matte look at all.

@Anon: Absolutely in no way being compensated for my blog post.

  14. I have an issue with redness... and the only thing that really stays all day and creates a flawless and dewy finish for me is my nars sheer glow - I have used lancomes foundations in the past - and I wonder how this would work! I'll have to get a sample to try out when it arrives :)

  15. i got a sample from the lancome counter and tried this out this week - i really like it. not sure about the luminous claims, but i do like it better than my renergie lift foundation so far - it's much lighter and it does seem to calm my redness down a fair bit. i think i will get this next time instead of the renergie.

  16. never mind... i just looked at the site and i guess i was given a different foundation than the one you mentioned. it's not out till september, so there's no way i could have got it. the lady at the counter must have been confused when i talked to her about it. she gave me the teint idol, which is nicer than the renergie lol. i will try the new one when it's out. sorry for the confusion!
