Obsession Du Jour: Illamasqua Furore 9.21.09

I love pigments, even though I am a huge clutz and wind up spilling half of it all over my bathroom floor. Illamasqua seems to have solved for this with the packaging. In general this product is one of my favorite in regards to the packaging. It is very sleek and clever. I picked this baby up at the Sephora in Times Square.

Illamasqua pigments seem to me a mix of mac's pigments and reflects. They are very shimmery with a touch of very find glitter. I love them. This color isn't one I have in my collection. I do own both MAC's Vanilla and Pink Opal which i love. Furore seems to be a perfect mix between Vanilla and Pink Opal, it has an iridescent, opalescent pink goldy silver sheen.

I find so many uses for this pigment. I have been using this on my brow bone and to highlight my cheekbones and I am loving it. The only downside is the price, it is a bit spendy for the amount you get.

I want to get the two new pigments that came out with Dystopia, Android and Static. Has anyone tried these yet?

  5. I have them both but not reviewed them yet. To me, Static is the stand-out as it looks amazing on its own, or over black. Android is beautiful as well but not quite as unique as Static.

My favourite Ilamasqua pure pigment is definitely Fervent - a mix of green, red, purple and silver. Sounds insane but it is so beautiful.
