I thought this would be interesting for you all to see, especially since A LOT of you have mentioned you want to go into the beauty and or fashion industry. I am lucky I am in both, I work at Fashion Luxury company that is branching into cosmetics and fragrance. I am the buyer and merchandiser but I also have product development under my job title and this is actually my favorite part of my job!
I attended the Luxe Packaging trade show today in NYC. If you are in beauty or fashion you know then EVERYTHING is about packaging, more so in beauty. You are paying for the packaging not the cosmetic! True Story. Anyway, I met with the packaging company that does all of MAC, Chanel, Laura Mercier, Etc packaging. It was really interesting to see all of this. I took a sneaky picture for you guys to take a look at you. You can see all the collections in there.. Lure, Dame Edna, Fafi, Manish, Hello Kitty and Heatherette. This was REALLY exciting for me. I am a dork...
