Everyday Essentials Du Jour 2.17.11

Hola!

I was rummaging through my bag yesterday and I realized there are certain products I use every day in the middle of the day to touch up with. I wanted to share some of my absolute must haves that I use all the time no matter what my makeup is for the day.



  • NARS Casino Bronzer
  • MAC 182 kabuki brush
  • Stila Smudgestick in Lionfish- long wearing bronze liner (I like the bronze because it is dramatic without being harsh during the day)
  • Prestige Skin loving minerals lip gloss in Soft peach - I LOVE THIS GLOSS! Total HG must have from the drugstore. Non sticky, cheap, nude, moisturizing, pigmented and smells like lemons!
  • MAC Lipgelee in Bubble Lounge- perfect sparkly pink to add some oomph. This was from the champale collection and I love it. I love light pinks and lip gelee's are totally not sticky which I love.

    ooh i LOVEEE bronzy eyeliners, especially being blonde...black can look so harsh in the daylight

    *too faced chocolate soleil bronzer (best matte bronzer IMO..made with cocoa powder and smells amazing...i won't lie, i've tasted it :)
    *lorac lipstick in babydoll (pinky nude)
    *dior amber diamond highlighter...major HG
    *urban decay 24/7 eyeliner in underground (pretty bronze)
    *big sexy hair powder play (sprinkle it on your hair and adds volume!)

    That liner seems like it would be perfect, i am so curious now. My essentials are practicaly the same as yours, maybe a bit of concealer and lipstick instead of gloss!

    I usually touch up with:
    -Dream Matte Powder from Maybelline
    -Whatever blush I'm wearing that day( my most worn blush is Deepthroat by Nars)
    -And whatever lipstick/gloss I'm wearing that day( my most worn lipstick is either Creme de Nude from Mac or YSL Rouge Velupte #1-pinky nude)
    -If I am wearing eyeliner in my waterline I always use Smolder eye kohl from Mac

    If I have my makeup done all nice when I go out, pretty much the only thing I bring is the lipstick I'm wearing, or sometimes just a random gloss to put over in case the lipstick wears off. lol I don't like to carry too much! :)

    I love bronze liners and that prestige gloss is amazing! I never really touch up my makeup during the day, but I always wear my jordana fabuliner for cat eyes, revlon age defying concealer or shiseido natural finish cream concealer (both look and wear the same), Revlon Cream blush in Rosy glow, maybelline color sensational lipstick in pink please (discontinued this year, dupe for MAC way to love) and I always bring a benefit creaseless cream if I have no time to do my makeup at home.

    COVERGIRL lipstain or Revlon's soft nude lipstick.
    MAC eyepencil in coffee.

    people keep telling me casino will be too dark for me as my pic shows i am blonde like you, yet you never look too dark. `i love to look 'bronzed' i am now going to purchase this. thank you x

    I swear you are my cosmetics soul mate haha. I tend to use NARS Casino Bronzer, MUFE Matte Velvet + foundation, YSL Powder, Bubble Lounge Lipgelee, MAC Lavender+ lipbalm and Tom Ford Lipstick in Blush Nude.

    I use...

    - MAC Select Moisture cover in NW15
    - MAC Prep & Prime Transparent Powder
    - Clinique All about eyes concealer (I use it on my top lid as a cream shadow because I love how opaque it is. Horrid as a concealer though).
    - Clinique Airbrush concealer as a highlight, because it's horrible at concealing too. LOL.
    - Clinique High Impact Mascara
    - NYC Blushable Cremestick in Big Apple Blush (Love this even more than MAC Creme Blush :O SO NUTS!)
    - NYX eye liner in white pearl for waterline.
    - Burt's Bee's pomegranate lip balm
