Blue Mercury Goodies Du Jour 7.16.09

This part of what I bought at Blue Mercury. NARS! I love NARS, this is my second blush of Desire. It is my absolute favorite blush. My first desire i bought in 9th grade. I JUST ran out. It is SO pigmented, you just need a tiny dab. It is HOT pink, but it is perfect. This is matte and warms you up instantly. The second thing I bought was also from NARS, it is called GOLDMEMBER, best name ever! I love Austin Powers so I had to have it just for the name, and of course I am obsessed with anything gold so this was calling my name! It is gorgeous, it is a shimmery creamy gold. A softer less metallic version of Illamasqua's liquid metal.

    Beautiful colors! they look great against your skin...I've never purchased any Nars so I don't have a favorite item..but I would definitely purchase a blush.

    Desire is in my top 3 for NARs blushes. But Sin is my favorite :-)

    I love their blushes (Orgasm, Crazed, Sin..), lipsticks (Dolce Vita), eyeshadows... haha. And they have a pretty eyeliner with gold flecks that I love using at night. I think it's called Area.

    I love love NARS! So hard to pick a fav but I haven't found a better bronzer than Laguna! Their lipstick pencil things are also amazing.... Oh I almost forgot! You have to try one of their 'multiple' sticks...to.die.for.

    I'm sad to say I have never bought anything from NARS - it is only since blogging I have really opened my eyes to brands other than MAC! When I go to the NARS counter at the airport later this month I'll make sure to check out Desire - looks gorgeous! xox

    My favorite NARS are Luster and Albatross. Luster is the most gorgeous nude brush and the Albatross is just the perfect highlighter!

    Do you know how is Desire compare with Pink Swoon?

    I 'd never heard of Goldmember until now...! Looks very unique!

    As for NARS favourites I 'm torn between Laguna, Amour blush and Fez Eyeshadow...:)))

    Desire is brighter and more pigmented than Pink Swoon. My two cents.

    I also love Lustre and Dolce Vita.

    Desire is so pretty! I want it now! lol

    I havn't tried much from them, but one of my favorite lipsticks is NARS Honolulu Honey. I love how creamy the lipsticks are.

    I have only 2 NARS blushes - both which are faves - and the Albatross highlighter. Love them all. The blushes I have are Mata Hari (perfect matte pink on me) and Torrid (perfect shimmery peach). Albatross is so much better than MAC Vanilla pig IMO (which some peeps hve compared) as it has golden tones in it that suit my colouring.

    Nars is my absolute favorite makeup line. I love the Maui multiple, chelsea girls lip gloss, and tokyo eyeshadow.
