  2. my best beauty secret well one of them is the EMU OIL,especially if i have a zit no matter how small or how big it is i dab it on the zit and the next day it'll surely decrease the size if not it'll totally disappear!.simply because emu oil has a natural anti inflammatory substance.best bet.i also use it as an oil cleanser because it has an anti bacterial as well!.how good can that be.can be used as an eye makeup remover as well, can be used in insect bites and can be used to double up the potency and absorption of any of your face product.totally a life saver.

  3. my best kept beauty secret is to shave my legs with a scrub instead of a cream, it exfoliates and raises all the hairs way better and my legs are always silky smooth with NO bumps or razor burn!

  4. my best kept beauty secret is to use toothpaste to get rid of zits and pimples. i dab on a small amount of toothpaste on the pimple and, the next day, its less swollen and, its smaller.

  7. I'd love to enter, but my comment is probably a bit unorthodox...oh well, I still want to share it!

I don't really do a lot for beauty. But my biggest and best-kept beauty secret(s) are my brothers. Whenever I feel totally dull, I hang out with them. Ten minutes later I'm a laughing loon. Rosy cheeks without any blush, a happy glow to my face, and an ab workout to boot. A hug at the end from both, and I feel really gorgeous.

  9. My best beauty secret is that if you have dark circles or puffy eyes is to get a gel eye mask, put it in the freezer for a few minutes, put it on then you will look awake:). Wearing a chilled gel eye mask for a few minutes each day has been shown to reduce the signs of aging too!

  10. one word; sudocrem! yes it's for babies bums, but it also is my life saver when it comes to spots - give it a go :)

    ReplyDelete
  11. Best kept beauty tip is to store your face wipes upside down as all the moisture sinks to the first wipe so its wet with product when you come to use it :) x

  12. my best kept beauty secret is to be in love ♥

More seriously, since I use a make-up remover bi-phase (home made) with vegetable oils and floral waters, my skin goes better :)

    Have a good trip ^^

  13. my best beauty secret is to mix olive oil and sugar and use it as a hand and foot scrub!!! :D

  14. My best beauty secret is to apply a little perfume to spots as it dries them out and you smell nice!

I just spray some on my finger and then dab it on, i also use solid perfume for this xx

  15. Is this open to people in the UK? If so... I use vaseline (I think it might be called something different in the US) to get rid of mascara that won't come off. I rub some on my eyelids and then rub it off with a tissue. You get massive panda eyes before you wipe it off but it's worth it!

  16. My Best beauty secret is,

BRUSHING my LIPS, with tooth brush... Natural, Peeling for ur lips and it gives u FULLNESS with nice, natural color... Easy, quick and the most usefull tip.. xxx hope it helps

  17. My best beauty secret is very simple, SLEEP! ;]
i had more sleep these days and my skin has been alot better, the blemishes on my skin are smaller and im much more happier :) im less lazy throughout the day too. ^^

  18. I'm from the UK, so I don't know if I count in this!
    My beauty secret is:
When i'm having an oily face day or spots are creeping up on my face, I use a sugar lip scrub on my problem areas.
It's a good exfoliator and gets ALL the dirt off your skin and unblocks pores amazingly.
I use Sarah Harper lip scrub, but you can do it at home yourself, by mixing baking powder, honey and sugar!
Sounds weird but it helps my skin so much.
If you have flakey lips it's also amazing! :) have a good trip x

  19. My best beauty secret is attitude!!!! Being confidant and positive makes a person just shine.

  20. Ah good idea doing something different! My beauty secret is Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream! I call it Jesus cream because it heals all! haha no but it literally is amazing. You can use it for cracked lips, sun burn, cold sores, cuticles, dry feet. Literally, everything!!xx

  21. I know it's really simple, but drinking loads of water is my best beauty secret. It hydrates me and keeps my skin plumped up and very clear!
    xx

  22. Me again!
    Lol!
I have another great beauty tip, blast your eyelash curlers with a warm hairdryer before you use them! The heat will really curl your lashes and keep them set for longer!
Just make sure they aren't too hot before you put them near your eye!
    xx

  23. Mine would have been Sudocrem for spots, but lollipop26 got there first so I won't use that! (Seriously it is amazing, can't emphasise it enough.)

If this doesn't work for you, pure tea tree oil is a LIFE SAVER!! I had acne on my chin when I was a lot younger, I applied it every night and it cleared it for good within 6 months.

    ReplyDelete
  24. My other beauty secret would be.. washing my hair at night, conditioning it - sleeping with the conditioner on, and then washing it off in the morning. As I use normal conditioner it doesn't make my hair greasy when I do this regularly. My hair feels SO soft every day - such a cheat, for a person with bleach damage! It even tricks my hairdresser, I quote "your hair is in great condition!"

    ReplyDelete
  25. mine would be either honey, either mix 50/50 with milk for a moisturising face mask, or pure on spots to calm them & help heal them

    or

if you've got puffy eyes use pile cream on them! works a treat!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. My best kept beauty secret is taking birth control! lol it's honestly the only thing that keeps my skin pimple-free! kinda random...but it's true.

    ReplyDelete
  27. my best kept beauty secret is witch hazel on my face. its a natural astringent so you never break out from it. it drys out the blemishes without drying my face. it also works as the perfect toner.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I have very tiny eyelashes but you wouldn't know that. I've found that it's not so much the mascara, but the way that I apply it to my lashes. Not only do I apply in zig zag motion, but I curl the wand as I apply it. If separation is needed, coastal scents' lash comb is amazing.

This works wonders with lash stiletto mascara.

  29. I have very tiny lashes but you wouldn't know that. It's not really the mascara, but the way that I apply it to my lashes. Not only do I apply in zig zag motion, but I curl the wand at the same time. If separation is needed, coastal scents' lash comb is amazing for $2.

This works wonders with lash stiletto mascara.

  30. Marshalls!!! I have found so many good makeup and skincare (and haircare) items there, for ridiculously cheap prices. On my last trip, I found a lot of biosilk styling products for $5 each, ferragamo scent for $10 and clarins UV protective day screen for 12$.

  31. my best beauty secret is to use vaseline to help keep your eyelashes in great condition and stop them from falling out as much!

  32. sugar + olive oil = BEST dry lip scrub :)

    ReplyDelete
  33. my best beauty secret is to wash my teeth with soda+hydrogene peroxide to whiten them :)

    ReplyDelete
  34. My best beauty secret is natural/plain yogurt. It makes an amazing face mask and you can add whatever you like to it depending on your skin's needs - honey, lemon, cucumber, oats etc. It reduces redness, calms spots, gets rid of flakes and just leaves your skin really soft, smooth and glowing. I first used it when my skin was really sore and it worked wonders. Apparently the lactic acid acts as a natural exfoliator. It can be used as a cleanser too but I've not tried that myself. Best of all, it's dirt cheap!

  35. This is going to sound extremely cheesy but...here goes, get the sick bag ready...I think my beauty secret is being in love. I am always happy and smiling and that is enough to make anyone feel more attractive (bleurghhhh!)

    ReplyDelete
  36. I really get a lot of compliments towards my being younger looking inspite that I'm already 33 y/o and i guess its because i smiles a lot. Its funny and sometimes annoying coz especially when i go to club, they do are skeptical with my age and also when i buy alcohol at the specialty shop. So here ya go, smiling is my best kept secret.

  39. My best kept beauty secret is that I wear what makes me feel good. I tried some new nail polish colors the other day and tried to love them, but felt they just weren't me so I'm not going to wear them again.

  40. My best kept beauty secret is using aquaphor on my face. I had very dry skin, and I used some of my baby's aquaphor and it did wonders for my complexion. Also, honey as a face mask. Straight up honey on the face also worked wonders on my face (the honey is actually a tip from Bubblegarm), it really does work.

  41. I would also recommend prenatal vitamins. I had the weakest nails and this did wonders for them as well as my hair.

  42. my beauty secret which i found out recently is to crush a bit of aspirin and put it over a new pimple with a bandaide on top be4 u go to bed. By the time you wake up the pimple is dried and dead! :D

  44. Oh wow, my best kept secret is this, listen to your skin. What your skin needs is different everyday, one day you might need a bit more moisturizer around the mouth area, another day you might only need to spot moisturize, or you might need a lighter moisturizer in the summer. The skin speaks, so listen... :) ohhh and don't forget the neck!!!!

  45. My best kept beauty secret right now is witch hazel toner. It's called dickinson's witch hazel toner and it's about 3 bucks at walgreens for a 16 oz bottle! I use it morning and night and my skin is just as clear as it was when I was on the pill. It's all natural and very gentle on the skin, but very effective. Love it!

  46. My best kept beauty secret is that after you wash your face and before applying moisturizer, spray Fix+ on your face and then apply moisturizer while your face is still damp from the Fix+ and rub the moisturizer in circular motion so that both the Fix+ and your moisturizer can absorb onto your skin to make your face look dewy. I do this sometimes when I want my face to look dewy and glowy.

  47. My best beauty secret isn't so secret but more like common sense, but sometimes, some women still forget to do it: removal of facial hair! Tweeze and shape brows, wax and bleach the 'stache, and this is disgusting but, trim the nose hairs if needed. Hehe. A good way to look clean and decent even without much makeup on. :)

    ReplyDelete
  48. my beauty secrets are 1. - use white eyeliner on your lower lash line to make your eyes look bigger, brighter and more awake. And 2. - use some blush every day to brighten up your complexion and make you look happy and awake - a peachy/pink blush is best for this.

  49. My best kept beauty secret is that I find if I use a self-taner on my face it helps to even out my skin tone and I don't need to wear foundation!

  50. My very best beauty secret is Latisse - love it!!

  51. HAHA you girls make me laugh, i thought the point of her post was to find out beauty "secrets" and using blush for your cheeks and cleanser to prevent acne is not a secret, it's what those products are intended for! just saying...

  52. Great idea for a competition! Let me think of some beauty secrets...
    - I always file my nails instead of cutting. My brother had a friend who played flamenco guitar and he said it makes them stronger to just file them rather than cut them. So now I have nails as strong as a flamenco guitarist!

  53. rhaindropz beauty secret:
    (not a secret anymore)

    ♥makeup remover♥

*I use petroleum jelly to remove eye makeups it can even remove waterproof mascaras,it works and its CHEAP

    ♥for cracked heels♥

*I would apply vaseline all over my feet and wear socks to sleep, the next morning it will be smoother

    ♥natural sunburn relief♥

    - An apple cider vinegar wash is also very effective. Mix two tablespoons of the vinegar and two tablespoons of water. Spray on affected areas. Repeat after every fifteen minutes. This proves to be the most convenient. All you need to do is place the concoction in an atomizer and bring it with you in your purse.

    ♥body exfoliator (all skin types)♥

    What you need:
    Orange, granulated sugar, olive oil

Cut a fresh orange in half and squeeze the juice of one half into a bowl. Add ¼ cup granulated sugar or you can use sea salt and ¼ cup olive oil and then blend into a moisture rich scrub. Next, rub the exposed side of the other half of the orange over the knees, elbows, heels, and any other dry spots. Slough off the dead skin by rubbing in the mixture. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.

    ♥ eye puffiness ♥

    * All you need for this all natural home beauty treatment are four large rose petals. Any color will do. Carefull wash the petals to take off chemicals and psticides from them. Cover the eyes with the petal and apply a cold compress on top of the petals. You can do this with crushed iced inside a hanky.

  54. Oh, another one. Always get your boyfriend involved when you're fake tanning - so much easier than trying to stretch and do it yourself ;-)

  55. Great ideas!

My eyebrows always grow in pretty sparse, and when I remove eye makeup my lashes find their way onto the cotton pad/baby wipes I used. To encourage growth for both of these problem spots, I apply castor oil. It makes them grow thick and long!

And for puffy eyes, I've always used chilled rosewater. That is something I got from my mother. We've had rosewater in the fridge for as long as I can remember!

    xoxo

  56. *Always always apply moisturizer and facial oils to damp skin. You use less product as it spreads a lot more easily if your face is damp and I always feel my skin is so much softer and more hydrated than when I apply my moisturizer and oils to dry skin.

*Others have recommended witch hazel as a toner (which I love it for too, its pore tightening abilities are second to none) but it is also great for those pesky bumps after shaving. I have had no shaving rash (which I always used to get) since using this on my legs and it's fab for preventing ingrown hairs too - amazing stuff!

*Sea salt for spots. Mix a little with water, allow to dissolve and then swipe over your face using a cotton pad, leave for 10 mins and wash off or use a little more salt to create a paste, apply directly to spots, leave overnight and wash off in the morning. It can tingle a little bit but if your skin is sensitive like mine then just adjust the amount of salt you use to make it more gentle.

*Spending a little extra time actually massaging volumising products into your wet or damp hair after washing instead of just running them through quickly makes such a difference. My short hair literally stands on end!

    xx

  57. Wow I can't believe all the great beauty tips on here! My beauty secret is rather simple. I start off with a freshly washed & moisturized face. Apply a higlighter, Nars Exhibit A blush to make your cheeks really rosy. Add your favorite mascara, & lip gloss. You get that really gorgeous healthy glow without a lot fuss.

    ReplyDelete
  58. my best kept beauty secret is Cliniques 3 step routine and making sure my makeup is off before i go to bed, so that your skin can breath :) xxx

    ReplyDelete
  59. I have sensitive skin which tends to break out. I have tried everything and was about ready to give up until I found Philopsophy's Purity face wash, Laura Mercier's oil free tinted moisturizer and Chanel's brilliance. My skin has never been so healthy. I absolutely love this combination. Oh and I can't forget about Lancome's bi facil waterproof eye makeup remover. This is by far the best!!!

    ReplyDelete
  60. My best tip would be to drink plenty of water!

We all know this but how many of us actually really drink at least 8 glasses...i notice that im prone to break outs when i don't drink lots of water..plus the fact that i have kidney stones too
    >_<

lately i began to measure the water that im taking in by buying a 1.5liter water bottle, making sure that i drink all of it + more glasses...i immediately notice that im not breaking out as i used to be..even if i did the OCM!

    how cool is that?!

girls, never underestimate the basic things!
they are basic because they are really important!

btw, i also have an ongoing contest about beauty tips too!
maybe you can also join in!

    have a nice weekend,hun!
    ^_^

  61. my best beauty secret is clearasil vanashing acne treatment cream which is basically benzoyl peroxided. I swear this is the only thing that has ever worked on my pimples. At the begining of the year my skin started acting up and nothing worked but this has cleared up my skin. I just put a little on before moisturizer and then pimples are practically gone the next day. Honestly if you have any spots try this but be careful not to dry out your skin. If you have dry skin put this on after your moisturizer not before.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Another great product I really love is Queen Helene's Mint Julep Masque. I get dark spots after my pimples clear up and they tend to linger for awhile after my pimples have cleared up. I just recently discovered this and after the first time I used this my my dark spots where so much lighter I was really surprised. Honestly I never thought that a drugstore mask could really help this much. Also its a bonus that it clears my blackheads and makes my skin super soft.

  63. drink a glass of warm water first thing in the morning to clear the digestive tract, and add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar if desired to boost the metabolism. then take a (multi)vitamin with your breakfast. makes me feel super alert and energetic even if i don't exercise.

    ReplyDelete
  64. My best tip is something i do pretty much every day. since i have blonde hair, i rub baby powder into the roots to get rid of any greasiness and add volume. it also makes my color look a little brighter and lighter. i know they make spray dry shampoos, but this just works better for me and is so much cheaper!

    ReplyDelete
  65. A good one I just remembered is to try to sleep on your back rather than one side because dermatologists say that sleeping on your side causes a lot of wrinkles on that side. I usually sleep on my back anyway, but if you can't do that you can get a satin or silk pillowcase (as they have the least impact) :)

  66. When you have pimples, wearing a warm tone pink will offset the redness and bring focus to your lips regardless of your skin tone.

  67. Hi,

A quick tip for helping your nail polish dry more quickly is to dip your fingers in cold water for a little bit. After soaking them DON'T wipe them off, just let the water dry naturally.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Ok this might sound really stupid but i put mousturiser on my lips it helps them be extremely smooth and amazing

Btw im a new follower and im loving your blog gonna go read all of it now bye
