Two things I am dying to try from the drugstore...

Has anyone tried any of these? Thoughts?

  1. We get Jergens in a tube in the UK and I have to say it's one of the most nourishing creams you can get at the drugstore, well worth a try :)

  2. I've tried the Garnier one - it's good but I have quite dry skin and it wasn't enough for it in the winter! x

  3. The Garnier is great for the summer, but I have oily skin in the summer so not sure if it would be moisturising enough for you, since you have dry skin, if I remember correctly :)

  4. The Garnier one broke me out horribly! I wouldn't recommend it.

  8. I used the Garnier gel before- It was refreshing but not really moisturizing. As for the Jergens- I use it every night and love it! Definite good buy Dara!

  10. I've used the Garnier gel and liked it but it's a little too light for me in the winter so I've been sticking to Hope in a Jar, but I'll definitely be going back to Garnier in the summer (hopefully they'll add SPF to it).

  11. I tried the Garnier gel hoping it could replace the more expensive Clinique Moisture Surge that I love-it did not, it made me break out and didn't feel as nice on my skin, so not worth it.

  12. I also tried the Garnier over the summer. I loved it's cool fresh feel. It was just enough moisture for the hot summer months...not greasy or oily, however for the winter I tend to be prone to dry patches so I use cetaphil moisturizer that comes in a tub. It is not scented, absorbs beautifully and leaves a clean but moisturized canvas.
Let me know if you try and like it!

  13. Found the Garnier gel way too light. Did not moisturize my skin. I had gotten a sample of it in a magazine. I'm really glad I didn't have to spend any money!

  14. I love the Garnier gel. It's perfect for super oily skin. Use it in the summer only if you have normal/combination skin. It's great for me even in the winter.

  15. I'd love to try that lotion too!

  16. I've tried so many high end moisturizers and Jergens is my all time favorite. I always come back to it! With that said, I love the overnight repair!

  17. If you are looking for a really moisterizing overnight cream, I HIGHLY recommend Aveeno's Intense Relief Overnight Cream. Amazing stuff... completely not greasy, zero smell, and no irritation. This stuff even worked on my skin post-massive sunburn from my Jamaican vaca.
