NARSkin Du Jour 10.12.09

When I went to Bloomingdales in Soho I was introduced to this lovely little product.

First and Foremost, the packaging on this is killer. It is a very weighty architectural box in all white matte. I love it! So modern and minimalist! I am a sucker for packaging, we know this.

Anyway, onto the important stuff, that product. It is a brightening serum, it is a light weight serum that has crushed pearl in it for illuminating qualities. There is no glitter or shine. It is meant to be used under your makeup as a moisture boost and base. You can also use it over makeup for a highlighting oomph.

I really like this product, it is very subtle. Regarding the claims of improved skin and brightness I have not been using it long enough to see those effects, but I do really like the product. It definitely adds moisture and gives a boost of luminosity. It is an expensive boost for $61. I would not recommend running out to spend $61 dollars on this right away unless you have very dry and dull skin, like me!

From the NARS Website...
http://www.narscosmetics.com/brightening-serum-C82_category_5.aspx
A fast-acting, lightweight serum that visibly brightens skin after only one application, immediately improving the appearance of dull complexions by promoting clarity and brightness. A more radiant and even skin tone is immediately attainable through a unique combination of Active Phytoseed Complex, powerful antioxidants and Fennel, revealing a luminous complexion and youthful glow.

I was trying to get a picture of the iridescence. It has an opal like coloring.

Very light, lotion like...
Rubbed in, a slight glow...

Has anyone tried NARS skin care? Thoughts?

  7. I have tried a couple of NARS skin care products including a toner that is amazing. The only thing that prevents me continuing to purchase is the price. The skincare is made by Shiseido I hear, which is affiliated with NARS. parent company?
